For whatever reason, something brought you to this page, and I don't think it was my advertising skills. You could have clicked on any of the trillions of pages, but you clicked on this one. Why? What are you looking for? My guess is the same thing I was almost two decades ago, a life designed by yourself and no one else.

When I realized Corporate America was going to lead me on a path that prevented me from living the life I wanted, I quit. I had no plan; I just knew I needed to find a different path. I struggled to find what I wanted to do with my life until a 30-minute call with my Cousin, a real estate agent in Chicago, changed the course of my life.

When I was introduced to the world of real estate, I knew I had finally found my calling. Unfortunately, my timing wasn’t great. I entered during the heart of the Great Recession, was broke, and had little education available to help me. Over the next few years, I did whatever was necessary to survive, while spending every free moment learning as much as possible about business and life, and after working 360 days a year for nine straight years, I finally achieved my goal of winning a top producer award.

Winning the award accomplished everything I wanted to achieve on the sales side, and I was ready for a new challenge.

Throughout my sales journey, I began to notice how little education is available to agents entering the industry. I experienced this but didn’t realize so many other agents had as well. So, I decided to open a brokerage based on recruiting brand new real estate agents to provide them with every possible resource to help them succeed. We offered more education for new agents than anyone else in our market and even custom-built a mentorship program that helped our new agents sell and earn 2x4 times the national average for an agent in their first 12 months. We grew the company to two offices, 66 agents, and an annual production of around $200 million. The company was growing, but I knew in my heart that it would take a very long time to have the positive impact on the industry I wanted. So after almost a decade, I sold it.

I knew that to help more people, I needed to reach more, which is why I wrote my books, The Education of a Real Estate Agent and the interactive workbook that goes with it.
